Five steps to a healthy site

Step 4. Content Management

The question of how or whether you will manage your content relates to the use of your site. If it is to relay information about your organisation, then you can safely leave the site relatively static. You can communicate your message, illustrate it and leave it at that. Infrequent changes, additions and corrections can be managed by intrit for a fixed annual fee or per change fee.

If the site is going to be a news orientated site, such as a blog, inventory, or products list, then you will need software to manage the content of the site yourself, via the internet.

You can opt to use an off the shelf solution, such as wordpress, which gives you plenty of flexibility but does require a fairly good technical knowledge, or you can have a custom built solution with less flexibility but greater stability and ease of use.
